Re: Board quota for attachments has been reached

Orphan attachments now stand at 53, up two from yesterday.

If anyone has deleted any attachments, or uploaded something but then decided against posting, within this period would you please check that the attachments have been removed.

Re: Another Classic Ported to TRS-80 MC-10

Garry: the solution, map, fixed game, and screenshot for Magical Journey have been added to the site. (Re. the database issue, earlier this month I asked for an update and received the reply "As for now there is no obvious and easy fix".)

Re: Board quota for attachments has been reached

People can manage their own attachments by first clicking on their own name (upper right) and choosing "User Control Panel". This should show the overview of the user control panel, clicking on "Manage attachments" will then take you to the relevant page. iamaran, I see that your "Star Trek Adventur...

Re: Board quota for attachments has been reached

Under admin statistics I see that the current size of posted attachments is 20 MiB, this may be the limit for attachments. I also see that there are 51 orphan attachments, but I cannot work out how to list them, let alone delete them.

It seems like some pruning is required.

Re: "A Dark Sky over Paradise" - Help wanted!

Jim, angromable may well be aware of the solution. What I think he is asking is how do you discover that the password is circle. A quick perusal of Dorothy's solution shows no action where you discover the password, it could be that the password is contained within the documentation that came with t...

Re: "A Dark Sky over Paradise" - Help wanted!

I haven't touched this game since 2006, in fact I have no recollection of playing it! It's only the posts above that tell me that I have played some of the game. So I can offer no help past that which I have already given. Sorry :(

Re: Authoring System Not Currently Showing

Submitting material does not cause a problem, the problem arises when entries are updated (*) so you can keep submitting whatever material you wish. (*) This does not apply to resources - maps, solutions, screenshots, etc. - so this material can still be updated. New entries can also be created but ...

Re: Authoring System Not Currently Showing

As far as I'm aware only Jacob has the authority to fix the problem, but I haven't heard from him for a while. I'm not even sure that he knows of the problem, so I've sent him an email about the situation.

Re: Castle Hallways Ti-99

A little later than anticipated, :) , I've deleted Castle Hallways and since it was the only entry for Patrick Crosbie I have also deleted his name from the database.

Re: No longer receiving email notifications

Who maintains the forum? Do they know about this? I've looked at the settings in the admin control panel and nothing obvious leaps out at me. Then again, perhaps I don't know what I am looking for. So short of messing around with things I don't fully understand, :D, it looks like another job for Ja...

Re: No longer receiving email notifications

Just a note that I received a PM email. Garry and Exemptus, have you checked your notification options (User Control Panel > Board preferences > Edit notification options) to see if anything has changed?

Re: Authoring System Not Currently Showing

I checked on the Wayback Machine, there was no system mentioned. So I have updated the picture but doing so does not tell us if adding resources erases the system entry.

Re: Authoring System Not Currently Showing

Does anyone know what system, or systems, Asylum uses? The picture needs fixing, doing so adds to the resources (just like maps, solutions, hints, etc.) rather than edits the page entry. If I knew the system(s) I could check before and after if adding and/or deleting resources also causes systems to...

Re: Castle Hallways Ti-99

Thanks, though this does raise the question as to why Mickey Schmitt included it in his Text Adventure Reference Guide . So unless Patrick Crosbie liked the title name so much that he used it for more than one game (which has happened elsewhere, e.g. Cliff Johnson with The Labyrinth of Crete ) with ...
