Re: Clicking link after unsuccessful search sometimes gives 403 error

A friend of mine (not a text adventure expert) has played Captain Cutter's Treasure and posted about it here: https://www.goodolddays.net/game/id%2C1 ... asure.html

Re: ADRIFT platforms

Don't forget to list the minimum version of DirectX required (and maximum version supported)! That's essential information ;) In all honesty, though, how large do you think the group of people on the one hand interested in text adventures, but on the other hand unaware that pre-2000 games may not "n...

Re: Twine games?

Since a number of participants to this thread remarked not being familiar with the subject in question, let me try and explain a further distinction. I'd say there are two different kinds of games in question there. 1. "Classic" CYOA type games. You have a paragraph of text (or three paragraphs, or ...

Re: Not a text adventure...?

I confirm it's a board game conversion, exactly adapting the original. Pretty cool game. It does contain a number of typical text adventure elements; the main stepping stones towards each cases solution being textual riddles, language/word play etc. Though I agree, depending on the definition of tex...

Personally, I'm a bit paranoid and I like to have a local copy. It's a bit awkward, but it is possible to save a local copy by following these steps:

:) Mostly the same here. Unless there is a special mechanic, like in Zombies, then I want to get a feeling for how this works and I give it a try.

Re: Temple of terror going through the stone door at last

How do you go about it these days? Do you actually roll a character, honestly calculate the fights, try your luck etc.?
