Synopsis

Plot

Once upon a time there was a miller who had three sons. He was so poor that when he died he left nothing but his mill, his donkey and his cat. The mill, of course, had to be left to his eldest son. The donkey to his second and all that was left for the youngest son was his father's cat.

"Do not worry, dear master", said the cat. "Give me a pair of boots and a bag and I shall solve all your problems."

My name is PUSS and you are the youngest son of the miller. You must help me to help you!

This game follows the story of the fairy story very closely and you are advised to read it if you get stuck.

The BBC version - at least the one available online at bbcmicro.co.uk and, on compilation disk at acornelectron.co.uk, has a bug in the code which makes the game crash when taking the rabbit.

PJ-1978 (11-10-2020 17:49)

UPDATE: The correct line, to fix the glitch, is: 3230IFAE=1THENS%(13,2)=14:Q$(13)=LEFT$(Q$(13),21) Basically, just replace the first (incorrect) £ in the glitchy line with %.

Thanks PJ.
I will update the bbcmicro.co.uk version in the morning.

Lee.

The bug has now been fixed.
Thanks.
