It is an experimental and disjointed story that takes the player to a world that is sometimes dreamlike and surreal, sometimes simply absurd or meaningless.
P.A.E.E. stands for First Experimental and Strange Adventure and began as a text adventure by menus (or electronic game book) initially written in two versions, in BASIC and HTML at the end of 1999 for the mini-adventure contest (I Mini Comp), and then for the P.A.E.E. project.
P.A.E.E. has ended up being more than just an adventure, it has resulted in a game project ported to numerous platforms (more than 40 real and virtual machines), different programming languages (more than 20) and even in document formats with hyperlinks (more than 12).
In 2006 a new version was developed (1.1) totally revised and with the addition of illustrations to participate in Retrocomp 2 that same year, the entry version was implemented in Inform 6 with the SIX library and compiled for the Glulx virtual machine. Subsequently and outside the contest, the illustrated version was adapted to the web in HTML format, and a LaTeX document version was also released for printing.
