Circus is a surprisingly spooky game. Your car is out of gas and grinds to a halt near a deserted circus. While exploring the circus looking for some gazoline a shy clown asks you for a final favour. The game is very old-school; primitive parser, simple and slooow graphics and very sparse prose. Yet I think it should be played since it is one of the best Channel 8/Brian Howarth games in the Mysterious Adventures series. If you only play one of these Circus is a good choice. (Note: at one point a timer in the game makes it difficult to play the game in an accelerated emulator. It's when the clown appears; you won't see him if the emulator is set too fast.)

Interesting. I find that Circus is one of the least effective games in the series. But it does have its spooky moments :-)
