Synopsis

Plot

Rescue Maid Marion from Nottingham Castle.

Notes

The game uses Olde English for all location and person names, hence Robin becomes "Robyn Hood" and his forest becomes "Scherwode Forest".

In two parts - supposedly with a total of 400 locations.

The 1986 date listed in some archives for this game is incorrect. The game is clearly copyrighted 1984 on its inlay and was reviewed in magazines in that year too.

Designed for obnoxiousness. Too many locations (the quoted figure of 400 is correct), almost all empty, and not enough game in them. Takes a long time to map due to hundreds of one-way connections and some mapping mistakes as well: Part 1 feels like a giant, pointless maze. The medieval English is tiresome, there are too many random pains, and there is little or no atmosphere. Part 2 at least has more of a plot, but it's very wearisome to put together and solve. One of many examples of ill design being passed for difficulty.
