It's gameday again. You jog down the tunnel to the field with the coach's inspirational speech still ringing in your ears. By the time you emerge onto the field, the frenzied introductions of the offensive and defensive stars are over and the welcoming rows of cheerleaders have broken up. You quietly wend your way through the men disassembling the giant helmet that the other players got to burst through to the adoration of the crowd.
You head over to your team's sideline and stand inconspicuously near your practice equipment. One of the backup linebackers runs past and stops to smash his facemask into yours, screaming Gameday! It's on now! Wooooooo! but when he realises who you are he looks disappointed and walks away. You pretend to stretch your kicking leg.
