Chaos, indeed. Devoid of interest, can only be solved by exploiting a bug and some luck.

In what way is this related to Zork? Or is it just a clever name?

No actual relation. You find an elvish sword and a map of the 'great underground empire', but that's it - these things are of no consequence. What you get instead is a series on nondescript caves in which you can even pick up the doorways.
