Based on the first of Arthur C. Clarke's Rama novels, the game follows humankind's attempt to rendezvous with the interstallar spacecraft Rama.
As with many of Telarium's other games, there are several optional arcade sequences.

A genuine exercise in frustration, but very atmospheric and with plenty to exotic locations to visit.
A high point in the Telarium series, but *requires* a dedicated player. The Great Plain of Rama is replicated here on a grid of 1,440 locations (!) and getting a sense of its cartography becomes a task comparable to illuminating manuscripts. The game is complex and atmospheric, despite there being not a lot to do: the plan is to explore and find the relatively few locations that are significant to the plot, which takes time and extra reserves of patience.
