A long long time ago when space travel had just begun there was a ship called the Phirious which was a cargo vessel. On a trip to Alpha Centauri the Phirious vanished without trace and to this day nobody knows what actually happened. It was rumoured that she was carrying a very valuable load. Space piracy was suspected although there was no evidence to confirm this therefore the investigation was abandoned and the files were closed.
As a space scrap dealer you had been interested in this fable. If the story was true then there might be a chance of making some quick money as the Phirious was a very big ship. Even if it had been ruthlessly attacked there should still be quite a lot of debris. If the Phirious had just strayed off course then the valuable cargo might still be intact and if it was, you could retire on the proceeds.
While visiting Erks-Aka, your home planet you overheard a fellow scrap metal dealer talking about the Phirious and that the ship had indeed survived and the cargo was still intact. Your colleague had gained this information on the planet called Earth, from where the Phirious had started its ill-fated trip. You decide that you must visit Earth and find out more.
Just a few million miles away from Earth you come across a stranded space ship named the Casiopia. It seemed in pretty good condition and you decide to investigate. After all you are a scrap metal dealer and this one could be worth a Drogna or two. After beaming down to the stranded ship you are horrified to see your own ship explode. You must now find a way off the Casiopia and down to Earth. You also need a new space ship so finding the Phirious is absolutely imperative as new or second hand space ships cost a lot of dough.
This was meant to be a game of four parts but it seems that only the first three parts have been published:
1: The Casiopia
2: The Planets
3: Falkrhanon
Sold as three separate games. The first two were produced using GAC (on Amstrad, at least). The third (1987) was produced using The Quill to take account of the extra memory. (Source: Adventure Probe issue 01/10)
The games were republished by WoW Software. The author later made the games available as public domain and included a text document detailing the story of the missing part 4.
