In a secluded section of southern California, there once lived a nameless man referred to by his neighbours as "the hermit". Rumours spread about the life and occupation of the hermit, but all the stories agreed that the hermit was rich.
The hermit is now deceased, stories about him have dwindled, but his shack still stands. Was he truly rich? Could his riches still be hidden somewhere on his property?
Your adventure starts at the front door of the hermit's hut. Your goal is to find ten treasures, deposit them in a spaceship (anything goes in this adventure) and blast off in the spaceship.
This was published in COMPUTE!, issue 90, vol. 9, no. 11, November 1987, pp. 44, 46, 52–62. See atarimagazines.com. There was one main listing with specific line changes for the Amiga, Apple II, Commodore 64 and PC/PCjr. There were also two separate listings for the Atari 400/800/XL/XE, one was the main program and the other was used to generate the two data files used by the main program.
An unofficial port to the TI-99/4A was done by Brian C Horner.

I wanted to download the fixed version of the game for the C64. Every time I got garbage instead of a d64 image disk file.
I noticed this is because it is an unzipped d64 file. I'll check if I still have the file and I will upload it again as a zip file.
It should work fine now.
Fixed, thanks! Downloaded it without problems.
