F5 = Dropall. P = Pause. R = Redescribe. 3. The Wanderer comes onto the screen randomly and when he does you must HIDE from him. If you have not hidden by the time he turns, he sees you. If he sees you three times you will die. When he is present the only time you cam move to another location is when he turns to face you. 4. You control four Chela - two in sections 1 and 2 of the game. 5. If you transport to a snake lair with no objects, you simply return empty-handed. 6. CHALLENGE at the end to fight Adiiniiron. SECTION 1 Press F7, select Chela 1. You are in the Goburn Wastes in a snake lair, N,N, EXAMINE CRYPT (a bright object can be seen beyond the crystal), BREAK CRYSTAL, GET SHIELD, W,W,W,W,S, CLIMB ROCK, GET STONE of Xenxes, EXAMINE STONE (a faint red glow emanates from it), CLIMB DOWN, N,W,W to canyon, F5 (you drop the shield and stone as you cannot carry anything when crossing the bridge), CROSS BRIDGE, N to by pit, JUMP INTO PIT, EXAMINE PIT (you see a lever embedded in the ground with an iron ring attached), PULL RING (the lever rises and the wall begins to move towards you), TWIST LEVER (a recess apeears in the side wall), ENTER RECESS, E, GET SWORD of Pachad, EXAMINE SWORD (the writing on the wall gives the clue that the only solution is to throw the sword out of the pit and then die), THROW SWORD OUT OF PIT (you die from radiation sickness). Press F7, select Chela 1. N,N, W,W,W, W,W,W, CROSS BRIDGE, N to by pit, E, GET SWORD, W, CROSS BRIDGE, S, F3 (you get the shield and stone), E,E,E, E,E,E, S,S, back to snake lair, DROP SWORD, N,N,W,W,N,N to depression (a sudden rainstorm occurs and you stumble over an old tree root), HOLD ROOT (so yu aren't washed away), N,W,N (you are attacked by Terryls), RAISE SHIELD (to protect yourself), N,E,N,N to citadel, N,E, GET OBIT, EXAMINE OBIT (a glow emanates from it and it lights up in the dark, however it also alerts the Watchers and when you leave the citadel they pounce and destroy you), DROP OBIT, E,U stairs, W,W, EXAMINE WALLS (in a gap you find a mask), GET MASK, EXAMINE MASK (it has a recess in the front), PUT STONE IN RECESS, E,E,D, W,W,W, WEAR MASK, N (the masks allows you to see infra red without disturbing the watchers), W,W (here you are told "I challenge thee with a diamond and the game locks up.......................), N, GET WAND, S,E,E,S, E,S,S,S, W,S,S, E,S,S,S, E,E,S,S back to snake lair, DROP WAND. Transfer back, select F7 and choose 3, Transportation Mode, back to the snake lair to collect the two objects. SECTION 2 Press F7, select Chela 2. You are in a snake lair, S,E,E to Gate of Tears, OPEN DOOR, N,N,E,E to steps, U,W,W to where the dancing curtain of emergy is (note if you try to go through you will be fried by microwaves), EXAMINE OBELISK (a small catch is fitted to the base), RELEASE CATCH, PUSH OBELISK (it topples and is drawn into the energy field which shorts out), N, GET CHALICE of gold, EXAMINE CHALICE, S,E,E,D, W,W,S,S, CLOSE DOOR, W,W,N back to snake lair, DROP CHALICE. N,W,N,N,W to where the large rock ism N,N,W to where the dust is thick, SEARCH DUST (you find a pathway in the dust), N,N,N,N to foot of cliff ilin the Mountains of Illusion, CLIMB UP to atop tHe cliff (you are by a sluice-gate), SWIM ACROSS (you are before the pump-house), OPEN DOOR (locked), EXAMINE WINDOW, BREAK WINDOW, CLIMB IN WINDOW, E,E to anteroom, EXAMINE SHELF, GET OILCAN, W,W, EXAMINE WHEEL, TURN WHEEL (it's stuck), OIL WHEEL, TURN WHEEL (you turn on the water which generates electricity), DROP OILCAN, LEAVE PUMPHOUSE (don't swim across this time or you will drown), JUMP ACROSS, CLIMB DOWN. ENTER BOAT, EXAMINE BOAT (the mast has a sail attached), RAISE SAIL, SET SAIL (you are now lying just off the island), LEAVE BOAT, S to forgotten lands, GET SCROLL, READ SCROLL, N, ENTER BOAT, SET SAIL (you are becalmed), WAIT (the wind rises), SET SAIL (you are now below the cliff), LEAVE BOAT to base of cliff, CLIMB CLIFF, JUMP ACROSS water, CLIMB IN WINDOW to pumphouse, TURN WHEEL (shuts off the water), LEAVE PUMPHOUSE, JUMP ACROSS, CLIMB DOWN (the boat is again in mud). S,S,S,S to peaks, E,E,E (a poison spikor plant blocks the way north), E (a small building is north), OPEN DOOR (locked), READ SCROLL, OPEN DOOR, N into a small box room, OPEN CASE, GET PENTACLE of Dawn, EXAMINE PENTACLE, S,W,W,W,S,S to where the rock is, MOVE ROCK, GET BOX of Diamus, EXAMINE BOX(it seems to be resonating), E,S,S,E,S back to snake lair, DROP PENTACLE. Transfer back, select F7 and choose 3, Transportation Mode, back to the snake lair to collect the two objects. SECTION 3 Select Transportation Mode. Transport to one of the locations. Throw the object that belongs to that person, but you must do it in sequence: 4 Sword - Black Knight 1 Wand - Princess Crisma 2 Pentacle- King of Scarlet Dawn 3 Chalice - Queen of Night Once all four objects have been blessed you should challenge Adiiniiron. He will select a weapon and challenge you with it. You should combat with a weapon of you own. However, you must aim to defeat The Dwellers weapon with one of your own which outweighs his by a value of one (and one only). If you undermatch, evenly match or overmatch by more than one, he will eventually defeat you. The values are: Adiiniiron Yourself 1. Club 1. Sword 2. Diamond 2. Wand 3. Heart 3. Chalice 4. Spade 4. Pentacle 5. Akasha You will then be informed whether you have won or lost.
