(Start in a parking lot to the south of the alpine base area), N (lobby), READ LEAFLET (welcome), U
(employee's lounge), GET KEY THEN EXAMINE IT (a car key), E (bathroom), OPEN MEDICINE CABINET,
LOOK IN CABINET (empty), W, D, S (back to parking lot), EXAMINE CAR, IN (car), UNLOCK GLOVE BOX WITH
KEY, OPEN GLOVE BOX THEN LOOK IN IT (see note), READ NOTE (welcome!), OUT, UNLOCK TRUNK WITH KEY,
OPEN TRUNK THEN LOOK IN IT (see toolbox and ski boots), DROP KEY, GET BOOTS THEN EXAMINE THEM, OPEN
TOOLBOX THEN LOOK IN IT (see screwdriver and wrench), GET SCREWDRIVER, GET WRENCH, N (lobby), W, W,
S (equipment room), GET POLES THEN EXAMINE THEM, N, E, E, E (snack bar), GET CHOCOLATE THEN EXAMINE
IT, W.
N (mountain base), WEAR BOOTS, GET SKIS THEN WEAR THEM, W (aid station), GET BLOCK THEN EXAMINE IT
(heavy), EXAMINE SNOWMOBILE, OPEN DOOR (reveals a good wire), GET WIRE, E, E (lift area), DROP SKIS,
NE (booth), EXAMINE CONTROL PANEL (see green and red buttons and a foot pedal), EXAMINE COMPARTMENT
(closed), OPEN COMPARTMENT (reveals a broken wire), GET BROKEN WIRE, PUT GOOD WIRE IN COMPARTMENT,
CLOSE COMPARTMENT, PUT BLOCK ON PEDAL, PUSH GREEN BUTTON (to start the chair lift), SW (back to lift
area), GET SKIS, WEAR SKIS, ENTER LIFT (the chairlift carries you up the mountain), WAIT (until you
arrive at the unload area), REMOVE SKIS.
E (onto walkway), E (lodge porch), DROP SKIS, N (lobby), W, W (kitchen), OPEN REFRIGERATOR (reveals
a block of cheese, hoagie and a jelly sandwich - leave them), E, E, E (empty closet), W, NE
(bathroom - nothing here!), SW, U (east/west hallway), W (office), READ MEMO, E, E (even though it
says there is a doorway north you can't enter), W, D, D, D (basement), EXAMINE PIPES, N, N
(storage room), EXAMINE JOINT, TURN NUT WITH WRENCH (you hear liquid rush through pipes), S, S, U,
U, S (back to porch), GET SKIS.
E, E (gravel hill), EXAMINE ALL (note the fire hydrant with a nut on top), TURN NUT WITH WRENCH
(water gushes out and runs down the slope... it freezes over and covers the gravel with a smooth
sheet of ice), WEAR SKIS, D (you slide down the sheet of ice and land right where you started back
at your campsite).
Your buddies are happy to see you and give you a hearty meal,
after which you all head back to the city.
