ELF'S CHRISTMAS ADVENTURE

Scenario
A musical text adventure about an Elf's efforts to help Santa save Christmas when the North
Pole is fogged in.  Created with AGT.  By the time I got to it I was rather pleased for the sound
off command.

So this is what happens when Santa calls you out of retirement.  You had wondered what it felt like
to be subjected to Baron Justus Von Liebig's teleportation methods.  Well now you have
experienced it first hand.  You remember when you were very young and the wisest oldest elf was
summoned.  The mirror in the Great Christmas Hall is still cracked to this date.  Never had such an
emergency required such drastic measures.

Tonight history repeats itself.  You are now the oldest elf and have been magically summoned out of
retirement.  The burden of your responsibility rests heavily on your shoulders.  Christmas has gone
amuck and you must call on your years of wisdom and the recollections of your youth to put it
right.

Walk Through
 (Start in an octagonal room filled with hundreds of elves, each of which is identical and appear to
move in unison... you feel an itching in your nose which builds and builds until you sneeze and the
entire room of elves sneezes simultaneously...), W (bunkhouse), EXAMINE MIRROR, EXAMINE BUREAU, OPEN
TOP DRAWER, LOOK IN TOP DRAWER (note middle and bottom drawers are locked and the middle is not

STRING TO SANTA (he tells you that Rudolph hasn't been eating properly and he fears his nose

ENTER MIRROR (you are transported to ice door), D (outside rear door), OPEN DOOR (inside), D, SW,
LIGHT LANTERN, SW (dead end), GET PAPER, READ PAPER (it's a map of the Antarctic Penguin
Colony), NE, NE, U, OPEN DOOR, U (back to ice door), N (ice floe), N (meet Percy Penguin), EXAMINE
PERCY, SE, SE, NE, N, NW (icy crystal garden), EXAMINE ORB, UNLOCK ORB WITH BRASS KEY, OPEN ORB,
LOOK IN ORB, GET ICE FLOWER, EXAMINE ICE FLOWER (poinsettia), SE, SE, SE, SE (great ice hall), GET
HAT, EXAMINE HAT (you sense something unusual about it), NW, NW, NW, NW (back to ice crystal
garden), NE, NW, SW, NE, S (back to ice door), ENTER MIRROR (you are transported back to the
bunkhouse).

GET DIARY, READ DIARY, W, N, W, S (west workshop), W (runway which because of the warm weather has
turned into a slushway)_, W, W (to west end of runway where there is just enough snow to build a
snowman), MAKE SNOWMAN, EXAMINE SNOWMAN, PUT HAT ON SNOWMAN (he begins to dance - it's Frosty
the Snowman), GIVE POINSETTIA TO FROSTY (he magically transforms them into beautiful real flowers).

E, E, E, N, E, S (Santa's workshop), S, S, S, S, S (Santa's cottage), PUT POINSETTIA IN
BLENDER (you puree it into a bright red juice), N, N, N, N, N, W (garage), EXAMINE BOX, OPEN BOX,
PUT THERMOMETER IN BOX, CLOSE BOX, WAIT, WAIT (the mercury in the thermometer falls and a snowflake
forms), GET SNOWFLAKE (it is now snowing everywhere but you must lose no time as the snowflake
mustn't melt), E, S, S, S, S, S (Santa's cottage), PUT SNOWFLAKE IN BLENDER (the juice is
magically transformed into "No Doze Noze Gloze"), GET JUICE, N, N, W, N, W, N (reindeer
barn), NE (reindeer coral), EXAMINE RUDOLPH (under the weather), GIVE JUICE TO RUDOLPH (he leads the
sleigh and all is well!).
