You must position the magnifying glass over the correct location to reveal objects. 1. Briefcase key in body's right trouser pocket. 2. Wallet in left hand jacket pocket. 3. Diary & black and white photo in briefcase. 4. Bullet hole in wall, three spaces left of door. Scene 2 You are shown a room where the shot was fired. 1. Fingerprint on window, just below latch. 2. Cigarette butt on top of plant-pot. 3. Spent cartridge on floor, behind curtain. PART TWO This part is where you gather information and statements from other characters in the game. You only have to input certain names or words to get the answers you need. There are seven main characters in this part: 1. Jade Place, Clermont/Hotel Gevaudan, St. Chely * Hubert Decol (Patrick Languille) Notes 1) There are four options you can choose to gather information: 2) S = Statement E = Examination M = Message C = Comparison 3) The final option comes in at the end A = Arrest. 4) Type in the OPTION then press RETURN, then type in the SECOND PART, which most times is the name, and press RETURN and finally the THIRD PART, which is the address, then RETURN. 5) Do not type in the words in brackets. S MARIANNE JAMES (doesn't know who did it, he was on his way to work when it happened). S DECOL JADE (solicitor - Mr. Sidney wanted to hire a private detective). S SIDNEY'S CARETAKER JAMES (Lajoie - Mr. Sidney was a quiet man who always gave me a tip) S SIDNEY'S SERVANT JAMES (Peggy - housekeeper - I have been in service for over a year and know of no-one wanting to kill my employer.) S SIDNEY'S SON JAMES (Ludovic - I can't understand why, perhaps it was a mistake!) S SIDNEY'S DAUGHTER JAMES (Sylvie - He was such a quiet man. All he wanted was a happy family life) S LAJOIE JAMES (caretaker - the day before yesterday he called a cab to take him to Blatin Street, Clermont). S RENARD BLATIN (Private Detective - Mr. Sidney hired me to watch his wife, he suspected her of having a lover. I made the picture you found - it is of Mrs. Sidney with her lover). S MARIANNE JAMES (wife - The photo doesn't bother me, it is easy to see this lady has long hair while mine is short. I have no lover). S SYLVIE JAMES (daughter - I don't recognise the people in the shade in this photo). S MARIANNE JAMES (wife - I have no lover). S NALLO DORES (Tino Di Nallo, salesman - I admit to having an affair with Marianne for a few months. Since Marianne had asked her husband for a divorce I had no need to kill him. At the time of his death I was with some customers in Lyon.) S LUDOVIC JAMES (I know Tino very well, he often speaks about National Services and Motor-cycles.) S NALLO DORES (I did my National Service in 1975 with the 91st Division at Clermont). S LUDOVIC JAMES (One day Tino told me about a friend of his from the Division, his name was the Sergeant, he was the best shot in the Company). S NALLO DORES (Ludovic is talking rubbish. I don't know the Sergeant he is talking about.) M GIE LYON SERGEANT (Patrick Languille, aka Sergeant, sentenced to one year imprisonment for illegal possession of arms). M CIAT CLERMONT LANGUILLE (Patrick Languille was detailed for street fighting. He was carrying a gun and never revealed where he got it from). M BDRJ CLERMONT LANGUILLE (Patrick Languille is not wanted by any force at present). M DG PATRICK LANGUILLE (he is available at our station if you require him). S LANGUILLE CHELY (unemployed - I don't know Tino Di Nallo and I don't know James Sidney). C LANGUILLE (he was in the same division as Tino and smokes Camel cigarettes. He owns a rifle and his fingerprints correspond to those found at the flat). S JEANNOT REPUBLIC (I am convinced the man coming out from No.9 a few minutes after the murder was Patrick Languille). E BALLISTICS (the cartridge was fired from a long-range automatic weapon belonging to Languille). S LANGUILLE CHELY (I have nothing to say). S NALLO DORES (I have known Languille for a long time, although I haven't seen him for ages. I don't see how he could be involved). C LANGUILLE (he has been formally recognised by witness Estrade and has recently paid 20,000 francs into his bank account). C NALLO (In Lyon at the time of the murder and was a roommate with Patrick Languille). S NALLO DORES (I don't see how Languille could be involved). S LANGUILLE CHELY (I don't have to explain to you where the 20,000 francs came from). C NALLO (he withdrew 30,000 francs from his bank account). C LANGUILLE S NALLO DORES (he had gambling debts) S LANGUILLE CHELY S NALLO DORES (I am the person responsible for the murder of Marianne's husband. He didn't want the divorce to happen, so I decided to kill him. I contacted Patrick who had told me on many occasions that he was prepared to kill for money. I gave him 20,000 francs to kill Sidney on the day I was in Lyon. S LANGUILLE CHELY (Since Tino has told you so, I admit I did throw the Camel cigarette butt into the vase and that my rifle was used.
