History Repeating (history_repeating.txt)

This is the walkthrough for History Repeating.

Before you can do anything you need to get out of the classroom. If you wait around long enough this
will happen anyway, but let's get going:

     >raise hand
     >u

Talk to Mr. Hopkins to find out what you need to accomplish. You can talk until all your questions
are answered, but here are the basics:

     >talk
     >> Why did you bring me back in time?
     >talk
     >> But why me?
     >talk
     >> What critical point am I at?
     >talk
     >> What do I need to do?
     >d
     >talk
     >> Tell me about this anchor.

Your mission is to write and turn in your history report, and to give Mr. Hopkins an anchor made of
a wire and a weight. Let's go:

     >d
     >n
     >e
     >e
     >x mural
     >x eye
     >look in hole
     >x students
     >se
     >e
     >tell dean about newspaper staff

Now we have access to the computer room.

     >s
     >ne
     >nw
     >s
     >research report

Now that we've done the research we need for our report, we can write it.

     >n
     >se
     >sw
     >n
     >type report

Now that you have your report, we need to get that anchor. What can we do about the weight?

     >s
     >w
     >w
     >nw
     >ne
     >s
     >get tray
     >e
     >x counter

A nice brick of meatloaf should do. The lunch lady will blindly serve the remaining peice to anyone
with a food tray.

     >put tray on counter
     >take meatloaf

Now we need a wire. Let's first listen to some clues. The history teacher talks rather loudly
sometimes.

     >w
     >n
     >listen

Listen, or wait, until Mr. Mitchell tell the students to read. Now, we need some equipment before we
can do anything else.

     >e
     >x light
     >e
     >se
     >e
     >n
     >tell janitor about light
     >wait (for the janitor to leave the room)
     >take pump

Now, where can we use a pump?

     >s
     >w
     >nw
     >w
     >w
     >sw
     >w
     >x tiny tree
     >get fence
     >x pond
     >x metal
     >put fence in pond
     >put pump in pond
     >turn on pump
     >open capsule
     >take record (it's the only necessary item)

A record would make a perfect distraction for the music teacher.

     >e
     >nw
     >w
     >turn on stereo
     >x turntable
     >put record on turntable
     >press start
     >open piano
     >wait

Keep waiting until the music gets more intense

     >take wire (Now!)

You have everything that you need. It's time to turn in your report to the history teacher.

     >e
     >ne
     >ne
     >n
     >turn in report

Now it's time to get out of here.

     >s
     >sw
     >se
     >s
     >u
     >give wire to hop
     >give meatloaf to hop
     >talk
     >> I'm ready to go.

So, it seems that we can't leave, let's go back in time.

     >press button

Now what you do is up to you! Here's one possibility...

     >s
     >sw
     >w
     >put report in capsule

That's all!
