ELEVENTH HOUR
Written by Terry Braverman
Walk Through by Dorothy Millard (Spectrum Version)
Scenario
The Mad Janitor has been driven crazy over the years by his poor pay and lowly position in life. He
feel they do no justice to his brain-boggling IQ. His mind has finally flipped and as a desperate
act of revenge he has planted five bombs. You must defuse the bombs in under 660 minutes and escape
from Harridges Department Store.
Notes
1. WORD gives a text-only version, PICTURE restores the illustrations, TIME gives the number of
turns taken so far and BOMB tells you how many bombs have been defused.
2. You can only carry 4 items. Carry the oil can at all times as it is necessary to LUBRICATE
BUTTON in the elevators when randomly told that it is stuck.
3. Red Herrings: Handbag, Jacket, Powder Compact, Guitar, Disc, Tickets, Sherry, Bottle and
Ketchup.
Mad Janitor
The mad janitor will appear up to 12 times and ask you one of twelve questions in the following
order, which you must answer before being allowed to continue:
* N Q L S J U H
* 3 7 16 35 74
* 54(HIDE)98 54(FACE)16

Bombs
You cannot leave the building until the five bombs have either exploded or been defused. They are
disguised as items you would expect to find in a department store:

* 2nd Bomb - Cushion in Soft Furnishings on the 3rd Floor.
* 3rd Bomb - Car Headlamp in Car Accessories Department on the 4th Floor.
* 4th Bomb - Ink Bottle in Stationary Department on 5th Floor.
* 5th Bomb - Rooftop Clock.
