Notes:
1. Not hiding the parachute at the start will result in your being arrested.
2. If you are arrested at the station you are locked in a white room near the laboratory.  Wait a
few moves for someone to unlock the door.
3. If you wander around when wearing the headphones you will be arrested and interrogated by Lutz,
the Gestapo officer.
4. When arrested, items take from you can be found by looking in various rooms nearby.
5. It is not necessary to be arrested at all to complete the game, but you will have to map the
minefield to escape.
6. The poem reads:
Birds fly west in the winter
But not if November brings snow
They wait in the East
Enjoying the feast
And Southwest in April they go
7. Help will give several cryptic clues.
8. There are many sudden deaths, so save your position frequently.
9. Red Herrings:  Food, Stone, Hay, Tools, Gates Lever, Knife, Gun, Large Key and Lugar.

(Start in a field), INVENTORY (you are carrying a torch, a pistol, a flare gun and a compass), HIDE
PARACHUTE, SW, SW (to farmyard), OPEN FARMHOUSE, ENTER FARMHOUSE (kitchen), S, U (bedroom), PULL
HOOK (reveals a concealed wall cupboard), EXAMINE CUPBOARD (you discover a radio and headphones),
GET HEADPHONES, WEAR HEADPHONES, SWITCH ON RADIO (you hear a voice say "The jeweller holds the
key to Pierre.  To send a message you must have the correct code."), REMOVE HEADPHONES, DROP
HEADPHONES, DROP FLARE (gun), DROP COMPASS, D, N, LEAVE.

NE, NE, NW, W, N (to clearing where the gypsy caravan is), SHOOT GYPSY, OPEN CARAVAN, ENTER CARAVAN,
PULL BLANKET (reveals the body of a man wearing a toupee, a British intelligence officer who has
been strangled), EXAMINE BODY, GET NOTE, READ NOTE (reads "For the help of KTFQZT you must ask
for LEIFTORTK" - this decoded means "For the help of RENATE you must ask for
SCHNEIDER"), DESTROY NOTE, LEAVE, N, NE (to dead end by fence), GET POEM, READ POEM (hints, see
above), DROP POEM, SW, S, S, E, SE (to field where you started).

S, S, S (you are arrested and locked in a white room where the door has a combination lock), HELP
(combinations are dated - the solution may be at your fingertips), PRESS 1019 (the door opens), N,
W, N, N, N, E, E (to junction with a door north), OPEN DOOR, N (into guard room where a German
soldier is asleep), GET TORCH, S, W, W, SWITCH ON TORCH, D (stone steps to cellar), N, N, OPEN RED
DOOR (you enter the red cell where graffiti on the wall gives directions to get through the beach
minefield), S, OPEN BLUE DOOR (it opens to reveal a man in a black uniform who beckons you to
enter), ENTER (to blue cell), TALK TO MAN (what do you wish to say?), SAY PIERRE, (he says "You
must go immediately and rendezvous with Pierre at the cross on the hill), S, S, S, U (junction),
SWITCH OFF TORCH.
E, E, S (dormitory), OPEN CUPBOARD (you discover a large key but leave it as it is a red herring),
OPEN WINDOW, E (outside building), N, OPEN MANHOLE, SWITCH ON TORCH, D (into sewer), NE, U (outside
building), SWITCH OFF TORCH, NE, N, N, N, NW, E, N (small clearing),  OPEN HUT, ENTER HUT, GET
PAPER, READ PAPER (reads " 9   Adams" - note you will get the rest of the message later),

U (landing), ENTER RED DOOR (you meet an attractive young girl wearing a black dress), TALK TO GIRL
(what do you want to say?), SAY PIERRE (she says "You must go to the SS, Pierre is
blown"), LEAVE, ENTER BLUE DOOR, GET UNIFORM, WEAR UNIFORM, LEAVE, D, S, S, W (into office),
GET REPORT, READ REPORT (concerns a Gypsy called Renate - she is said to be in "Zimmer Nummer

beautiful gypsy girl), TALK TO RENATE (what do you want to say?), SAY SCHNEIDER (she says "You
must rendezvous with Pierre - in the lab ask for Schneider and mention the Turtle... he will help
you"), LEAVE, D, S, W, N, N, N (into jeweller's shop), TALK TO JEWELLER (what do you want
to say?), SAY PIERRE (the jeweller says "If the birds go southwest in April, when did it
snow?"), NOVEMBER (the jeweller opens the trapdoor and ushers you down into a damp tunnel.
U (to copse), N, W, U (to top of hill where there is a wooden cross and a man in dark clothing),
TALK TO PIERRE (What do you wish to say?), OCTOBER WINDS (Pierre says "In Paris winds blow
south"), SAY SCHNEIDER (Pierre holds out a piece of torn message), GET MESSAGE, READ MESSAGE
(it is the other half of the scrap of paper - the total message reads "CODE 7059 FOR MASTER
ADAMS"), DROP MESSAGE, DROP PAPER, D, E, S (to copse), E, E (into lift), D, E (to brightly lit
passage), N, E, S (white room), GET OVERALLS, WEAR OVERALLS, N, W, S, S, S, W, W, S, S, S, E, E, E,
N, E, E, N (science laboratory), SAY SCHNEIDER (an elderly man asks what you want), SAY TURTLE
(Schneider gives you details and tells you to find the plans), S, W, W.

men in white overalls are working on large machines resembling tanks), GET PLANS, EXAMINE PLANS
(they are in German - note the reference 63FX 2LHT), SWITCH ON TORCH, D (into an underground area),
E (dark passage), SE, E, S, S, SE, SW, S, OPEN DOOR, E (tunnel), S (south entrance to railway
tunnel), S (onto railway tracks), SWITCH OFF TORCH, S, U (to railway embankment), W, W, W, SW, SW

to contact?), MAJOR ADAMS (you tell him what you know about the Turtle... he asks you to verify the

getting to the beach where a submarine will pick you up - do not contact anyone, you are on your own
