This is a long, somewhat tedious adventure. I agree with a reviewer who rated 
it as average with all its "dead" locations. There is a tremendous amount of 
retracing of steps needed. Many actions must be done in the correct order.

The hints give on CASA and on the Tipshop are very helpful, though not 
complete.

The riddle puzzle does not give enough hints, despite two HELP commands. A 
previous reviewer had tried to  describe the rationale, but I disagree with 
one of his conclusions. The riddles refer to characters mentioned in the game, 
but this is not clearly stated. While the K seemed to stand for "King", I 
believe that it stands for "Kharin" or "Kharel". The I, certainly is not the 
Imp, but the Inn. Anyway, the two words are ALKO and BIDO. The two "O's" for 
Ogre and Orc appear to be interchangeable.

You are sent by King Logryn to find his pendant. You are given a sword and two 
coins. You need to find characters that will help you and give you hints, plus 
buy and sell some objects. Money is in short supply and to lessen the 
frustration of playing this game over and over from the beginning, the red 
herrings are: the brown jar, the gold knife, the spear, the red vial, the 
green vial, the hat, the clothes, the gloves, the beer, and the picture. 

You really don't have to put things into the backpack; just wearing it gives 
you the ability to carry lots of objects.

You get more coins in two locations, the long grass (with the graphic - there 
is a hint provided when you go west from the goblins and are wearing the 
glasses), and in the bar by getting a purse if you defend your honour. 
Searching the rubble you get a ruby (you get a hint about that when you listen 
at the tavern). So we'll just do some shortcuts here, otherwise you are really 
retracing steps, and it gets more than tedious.

staff. Its' guarded an illusion and you are give a spell to dispel the

NW, W, NW, W, S, W, SW, W, READ SIGN (it's unintelligible; but if you return
