PLAYExpo Adventure, The (playexpo-blackpool.txt)

Walkthrough for PlayExpo Blackpool by Craig Anderson

Walkthrough by Andrew Schultz

This game, to reduce things to its elements, is a sequence of fetch quests. You TALK to people, and
they give you something which is used to find something else. New areas open up. It's fun,
though TALKING often isn't helpful after your first interaction, as people still ask you for
stuff they already got. So you need other ways to keep track of things. Or this walkthrough. Also,
sometimes when people say they give you an item, they do, and sometimes they don't. But
everything is clearly clued, and there are no instadeaths.

Note w can replace GET * with GET ALL a lot of places to save keystrokes, but that makes the
walkthrough a little less clear.

You start on the seafront. We can't do anything to the west and east. We'll sweep through
them later. First, the side areas by the Foyer.

You now have the Note from Jim.

>TALK MUSO

This gets you Muso's car key, which you'll use in the car park. But first, let's get
other stuff.

>GIVE POSTCARD
>GET KAZOO
>E
>S
>GIVE NOTE
>GET ZX81
>W
>GET METAL

You don't need the batteries (at least, not to win. I tried using them in the VR room, the only
place where there seemed to be something to help fix that I couldn't, but nothing happened,)
and you can't buy Cybernoid yet. (Yes, it's a bit misleading to lump Cybernoid in with the
free items, but the code for separating stuff is tricky in any programming language.)

6 of 10 collectibles. (Keyring 6, Hewson.) That's all you can get for now.

>N
>TALK GUARD

You learn his name is Dave. More importantly, he opens a passage down, and the game also rearranges
the main area. For instance, Mike and Tim are now gone, replaced by other NPCs.

>D
>GET TOOTHBRUSH

(Next two commands aren't necessary but explain what to do. In the case of the memo, the VR
room may just be a silly joke.)

(You don't need to TALK NEIL.)

7 of 10 collectibles. (Keyring 10, YouTube logo. Yes, we're getting them backwards, here.)
