Montsegur Walkthrough by Alex Dijkstra for the Amstrad cpc ***Note: The Amstrad version has some differences with the Oric version: -The map is slightly different -The bones (os) are in a different location -You can carry 5 objects -The puzzle with the torch doesn't work in the Amstrad version making the game easier -The routes through the labyrinth are different. ***Solution: After you start the game you see during a few seconds a 6 digit code on the screen. Note the code down as you need it to complete the game. First you have to find the "piece". It is randomly placed in one of the first 18 locations of my map. Room 4 and 6 do not exist inside the game. If the piece is placed inside one of these rooms you have to restart the game. Use OBJETS to see what objects are in the room. When you have found the piece type PRENDS PIECE. Now return to the location with the roc inside the ruins (location 10 on my map). Save the game as you have a random chance to die while climbing the rock. ESCALADE ROCHER, DESCELLE PIERRE (you remove the stone and find a suit), PRENDS COMBINAISON, CACHE COMBINAISON (you hide the suit inside your bag. if you don't hide the suit you have each turn a random chance of being caught by a guard for stealing), O, O, N, O, O, M, M, S, M, DESCELLE PIERRE, COLONNE, O(ui), O(ui), enter the 6 digit code you noted down at the beginning of the game, METS COMBINAISON, APPUIE BOUTON (you must be wearing the suit or else you are killed). If you entered the right combination you see a short animation and you travel back in time to 1244. If you entered the wrong combination you will travel further back to the past or into the future. Both options will end the game. POSE COMBINAISON (due to a bug you still have a random chance of being caught by the guard from the ruins even though you are now in the past. Therefore drop it as you don't need it any longer), POSE PIECE, PRENDS TORCHE, M (you obtain a parchment), D, S, S, O, O, PRENDS POT, REMPLIS POT (with embers), ALLUME TORCHE (with embers), E, N, N, O, PRENDS CLEF, E, S, S, E, POSE BRAISES, POSE POT, PRENDS OS, N, N, N, REGARDE TENTURE, ARRACHE TENTURE (you find a secret passageway), N (you should be killed by setting fire, but due to a bug this does not happen in the Amstrad version), E, OUVRE GRILLE (with key), E, TOURNE SABLIER (a passage opens and you enter the labyrinth). There are four different routes through the labyrinth. At the beginning of the game at random one of the four routes is chosen. You can see which route to use by studying the parchment. Type REGARDE PARCHIMENT. The positions of the star indicates which of the routes you have to follow. On the map on the parchment you can see which directions you have to go. Each line is one location. You have the following four routes: The star is to the north: E,S,E,E,E,S,O,S,O,S,O,N,O,S,O,N,N The star is to the south: N,E,S,E,N,E,N,E,N,O,N,O,O,O The star is to the east: S,O,S,O,N,N,N,N,O,S,O,S,S The star is to the west: ESSESÃ¥ENOONEN" You arrive at another gate: E, JETTE OS (the dogs die by the poisoned bones), D, O(ui), E, M (don't take the jewels), PRENDS CASSETTE. Notes: -You can loose points by: *taking the sword (epee) *taking the rope (corde) *taking the coal (charbon) -A man tells you to enter the cistern, but this has no function and you will loose points (see above). You can do this by typing ATTACHE CORDE, PLONGE in the room with the cistern. You can stay 6 turns under water before you drown. If you are carrying the embers they will turn into coal (CHARBON). To leave the cistern type GRIMPE and you will leave it using the rope.
