Solution for the Commodore 64 German-language text adventure "Escape From
Earth" by Gerd Viol, published by Commodore Welt.
In der folgenden Lösung geben die Zahlen in runden Klammern an, wie viele
Komponenten der Spieler von den acht für den Bau des Raumschiffs erforderlichen
Komponenten gesammelt hat. Befehle in eckigen Klammern sind fakultativ.
In the below walkthrough, the numbers in round brackets indicate how many
components the player has collected, out of the eight required to build the
spaceship. Commands in square brackets are optional.

Anmerkung:- Beim Abschluss des Spiels tritt immer das folgende katastrophale
Ende auf.
„Ihr Raumschiff war leider zu unstabil. Als Sie gerade den Mond passiert hatten
zerflog ihr Raumschiff in seine Einzelteile. Sie werden jetzt lebenslänglich im
Raum umhertreiben.“
Dies ist das einzig mögliche Ende und es ist im Spiel fest codiert. Am Ende
wird man gefragt, in welchem Winkel das Schiff durch die Erdatmosphäre fahren
soll. Jeder Wert, der kleiner oder gleich 20 Grad ist, wird akzeptiert, aber
der gewählte Wert beeinflusst die Endung in keiner Weise.
Die Prüfung der BASIC-Listing zeigt, dass nach Abschluss des Spiels keine
anderen Endungen vorhanden sind, obwohl es mehrere andere Möglichkeiten gibt,
vor Abschluss des Spiels zu sterben.
Note:- On completing the game, the following disastrous ending always occurs.
"Your spaceship was unfortunately too unstable. When you had just passed the
moon your spaceship exploded into pieces. You will forever float around space."
This is the only possible ending and it is hard coded into the game. At the
very end, you are asked at what angle do you want the ship to pass through
Earth's atmosphere. Any value that is less than or equal to 20 degrees is
accepted, but the value chosen does not effect the ending in any way.
Examination of the BASIC listing shows no other endings are present on
completion of the game, although there are several other ways to die before
game completion.
