ALTEREARTH

This is a very frustrating game. Not only does it have a very limited and 
specific vocabulary, some of which makes little sense, but it has what appear to 
have several red herrings ( a red fish for sure). You have to figure out when to 
IN or ENTER certain rooms or houses. 
Objects for which I have found no use (hammer, shark, bird, map, set of keys, 
record, adding machine, red fish, quartz, mop and bucket, ring, record, flex, 
laser). You can spend a lot of time trying to find a use for those objects. The 
battery and the grapplehook are necessary if you make a mistake but you can 
finish the game without them.
You can only carry 5 objects, excluding what you wear.
HELP is available but only at a few points in the game.

You begin the game by typing ENTER, and find yourself on a silver dais. N, N, 
MOVE STONE, TAKE KEY, S, IN, TAKE WEIGHT, WEAR WEIGHT, OPEN OTTOMAN, GET 
WETSUIT, WEAR WETSUIT, OUT, N, E (leave the hammer for now), E (leave the canvas 
for now), E, TAKE SPADE, S, DIG MOUND, LOOK, TAKE AQUALUNG, SW, W, NW, N, DIG, 
LOOK (you see a box, leave it for now), DROP SPADE, E, SE, S, W, IN, D, FLICK 
SWITCH, LOOK, OPEN CUPBOARD, LOOK, TAKE TORCH, UP, OUT, E, N, IN, ON TORCH, 
LOOK, TAKE MASK, OUT, S, OFF TORCH, DROP TORCH, WEAR AQUALUNG, WEAK MASK, SWIM,

S, NE (you can explore this area but it's really not necessary), TAKE JACK, SW,

IN, D, S, IN, LIGHT TORCH (you are in a subterranean passage; you can explore 
but none of the objects here are necessary), S, E, E, S, OPEN TRAPDOOR, UP (you 
find yourself back in the temple), OUT, OFF TORCH, S, S, W, IN, UP, PUT BAR, (it 
fits in the triangular hole), PUT DICE (they fit in the square hole). The plinth 
descends and you find yourself in a stainless steel room. PRESS RED, E, TAKE 
AXE, E, N, PUSH BLUE, S, PUSH GREEN, N, N, PUSH WHITE, IN (you are in the lab 
with the professor). Do not fire the laser as this puts a hole in the passcard. 
THROW AXE, SEARCH, LOOK, TAKE PASSCARD, PUT PASSCARD (you find yourself in a 
room with a valve), CLOSE VALVE. That's it.
