You'll need to EXAMINE or LOOK at lots of things for this solution to make sense. There are lots of guess-the-verb, guess-the-noun, guess-the pronoun, one-way exits and sudden-death scenarios. I have omitted all the mini sub-plots that lead to your death. You need to discover these to work out what NOT to do, but once you know them, they aren't relevant to the solution. Save the game frequently using different file names so that you don't have to keep retracing your steps when you get killed. I've highlighted a couple of spots where this is essential because of random events that can make the game unwinnable. Inventory is limited to 7 items, so inventory management is important. Note that the worn uniform counts as two items, so this gives you 5 items to play with once you're in the underground complex. Some optional (but significant) commands are shown in brackets. You can omit these once you know what to do. You can also use the screwdriver to remove panels in the long corridors and use the knife to cut wires to disable the automatic doors and enable the slab in the lift, but none of this is necessary.
