African Escape (African_Escape.txt)

AFRICAN ESCAPE (Bruce Robinson)

This is a short game with some rather awkward commands.

(You begin in a desert) INVENTORY (carrying a knife and some food),
CUT CACTUS (the water inside lets you see straight), LOOK (now you
see an oasis), GO OASIS, CLIMB TREE, GET COCONUT, THROW COCONUT
(where?), LIONS (they flee), GO OASIS, GO WEST (you're sinking into
quicksand), YELL (cannibals pick you up for dinner), DIG (with
what?), KNIFE (into the silver mine), GO WEST, GET VINES, GO MINE,
TIE VINES (to what?), SUPPORT BEAMS, GO WEST, PULL BEAMS (the mine is
reduced to a pile of rubble), LOOK RUBBLE, GET ROCKS, THROW ROCKS
(where?), STREAM, CROSS STREAM (via the rocks to the village), FEED
NATIVES (they hand you a flute in return), LOOK CAVE (you see some
snakes and some tar), CHARM SNAKES, GO CAVE (the snakes have been
hypnotized), GET TAR, GO WEST, GO SHIP (the hull is leaky), THROW
TAR, LEAKY HULL (with this obvious command you repair the ship and
head on home!)
