He and his frail queen had two sons Colwyn and Tarquil, and with the births there was a hope of everlasting peace. The boys grew into two noble princes and it was now time to name the king to be. The people gathered and heard that Colwyn was to be the chosen one, and with this new life and friendship filled the lands. All but one rejoiced, Tarquil the stronger and braver of the two princes. In a mad frenzy he struck both his parents down and fled. Following this news Colwyn set out to revenge his parents' death. W (you walk through a deep blanket of snow towards a deep black pit where you see a troll carrying a sparkling object in his arms), EXAMINE SNOW, GIVE BAG (of money – now see a crystal key), GET CRYSTAL KEY, S, NE, SE (back to winding passage), U (top of mountain), N (standing in front of huge gates), OPEN GATES (the giant blocks all the exits), THROW ION CRYSTAL (the blue giant stands still in suspended animation), W (beside a pool of purple water), EXAMINE POOL (dangerous and smells disgusting), SW (dead end), NE, E, SE, S (another dead end), N, U (by crystal gates), UNLOCK GATES (with crystal key – you walk through), U (black chamber where you meet your brother), KILL TARQUIL (using the sword of Rhun… as you leave for home the land begins to breathe… good has triumphed over evil yet again).
