(You begin outside the castle's west gates) N, N, E, E, E, GET FLINT 
(leave the wheelbarrow for later), W, W, W, N, OPEN GATE, N (rain starts 
pouring), N, FIX ROOF (the farmer's wife hands you a pitcher), S, S

At any point from now on, if you come across the monk, GIVE PITCHER and 
receive a bunch of keys in return)

Sx4, W, ENTER CHAPEL, PRAY (you're told to "help thyself"), GET BIBLE 
(only possible after prayer), W, GET LAMP, LIGHT LAMP (with the flint), 
D, GET STAKE, U, EXTINGUISH LAMP, E, S, E, E (outside the south gates. 
If you didn't give the pitcher to the monk yet, go do it now and return 
here), OPEN GATES

Inside the castle walls:
N, ENTER LODGE, FILL LAMP (from the drum of paraffin), OUT, N, DROP 
FLINT, E (you see a bedraggled figure), TALK FIGURE (it's a tramp who 
suggests you visit the hunting lodge), E, E, N, N, S (outside the 
hunting lodge), CLIMB TREE, GET GOLD KEY, D, E, S, OPEN DOOR (with the 
gold key), ENTER LODGE, GET KNIFE, OUT, S, SE, S (east gates), OPEN 
GATES, Wx4, KILL CHEETAH (with the knife - save first, as there's a 
slight chance of dying), DROP KNIFE, E, GET FLINT, Ex4, N, N, E, PUT 
STAKE IN WHEELBARROW, GET WHEELBARROW

Getting the wheelbarrow inside:
(the point of this section is to guide the wheelbarrow along the only 
possible passage into the central castle area)
W, W (north gates), OPEN GATES, S, E (ruined north lodge - on the wall 
you can read "Quaere ad altissima turris, which means something like 
"search for the high tower"), W, S, E, S, W, W, S (at cedar tree), S 
(where you killed the cheetah), Ex4, N, NW, SW, S (at iron studded 
doors), OPEN DOORS (with keys), DROP KEYS, S, W, GET PICKAXE, E, S, W, 
E, E (here's a man with a broken wheelbarrow), GIVE WHEELBARROW (he 
gives you an amulet in return)

Entering the castle:
WEAR AMULET, GET STAKE (from the wheelbarrow), W, W, N, S (at the castle 
moat), RING BELL (the drawbridge is lowered), CROSS DRAWBRIDGE, E, 
INSERT STAKE IN WINCH, TURN WINCH (the portcullis is raised), OUT, ENTER 
CASTLE (you must carry the amulet here to avoid death), S, S, OPEN DOOR 
(with the gold key), ENTER

Finding Leonora:
LIGHT LAMP, S, ENTER FIREPLACE, U, S, OPEN DOOR (with the gold key), S, 
DROP GOLD KEY, GET BRONZE KEY, OUT, N, D, OUT, W (the kitchen), OPEN 
TRAPDOOR (with the bronze key), D, D (you see the ghost of Leonora), DIG 
(with the pickaxe. Leonora has been laid to rest and you have won the 
game!)


1. The holy water (can be put into the bottle found in the eastern 
lodge), crucifix and prayer book are not needed.
2. The bunch of keys will unlock all 4 sets of castle gates.
3. There are locations beyond the statue in the crypt (move arms to 
reveal secret passage) but there is nothing of interest.
4. There are lots and lots of way to die.
5. Ignore the "sinister cloaked figure.
6. Don't stick around in the north lodge or it might collapse!
7. If you drop the wheelbarrow, it vanishes but ends up in the barn 
again.
